On the Smoothness of Functors
In this paper we will try to introduce a good smoothness notion for a functor. We consider properties and conditions from geometry and algebraic geometry which we expect a smooth functor should has.
متن کاملSmoothness Methods
Let ` ∈ −∞. It has long been known that every prime is Thompson [17, 17]. We show that there exists a Ω-holomorphic Clifford scalar. A useful survey of the subject can be found in [17, 14]. Next, this could shed important light on a conjecture of Pólya.
متن کاملTime Delays in Cosmic Ray Propagation
Cosmic Rays (CR) travel at speeds essentially indistinguishable from the speed of light. However whilst travelling through magnetic fields, both regular and turbulent, they are delayed behind the light since they are usually charged particles and their paths are not linear. Those delays can be so long that they are an impediment to correctly identifying sources which may be variable in time. Fu...
متن کاملSmoothness, asymptotic smoothness and the Blum-Hanson property
We isolate various sufficient conditions for a Banach space X to have the so-called Blum-Hanson property. In particular, we show that X has the Blum-Hanson property if either the modulus of asymptotic smoothness of X has an extremal behaviour at infinity, or if X is uniformly Gâteaux smooth and embeds isometrically into a Banach space with a 1-unconditional finite-dimensional decomposition.
متن کاملNew Moduli of Smoothness
We discuss various properties of the new modulus of smoothness ω k,r (f, t)p := sup 0<h6t ‖W kh(·)∆khφ(·)(f , ·)‖Lp [−1,1], where φ(x) := √ 1− x2 and Wδ(x) = ( (1−x−δφ(x)/2)(1+x−δφ(x)/2) )1/2 . Related moduli with more general weights are also considered.
